Why RodrockMeet The Team
Brian Rodrock
CEO
You could say homebuilding and real-estate development are in Brian’s blood. His grandfather became a homebuilder after the war and encouraged his son-in-law to follow suit. In time, Brian’s father transitioned from school teaching to homebuilding full time—before becoming one of the largest residential real-estate developers in Johnson County. As Brian says, “I was around construction and building all my life. It’s what I knew from day one.”
Brian began building homes in 1999 before partnering with his own brothers-in-law to form Rodrock Homes in 2002. In 2018, the trio expanded the business to encompass Rodrock Development. Brian specializes in banking relationships, land acquisitions, product development, and realtor relations. He revels in the beginning phases of a planned development and says the arrival of a family into a new home is the most gratifying part of his work.
When he’s not at the helm of Rodrock, Brian enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, and piloting small aircraft. He also finds immense pride in surveying the rooftops Rodrock has constructed, knowing he’s had his hand in something that serves as a cornerstone for the growth of a family—built to withstand the test of time.
Jeff Gifford
COO
Jeff has been with Rodrock Homes since its formation, having transitioned from IT consulting and testing after some 6 years. Having loved the building process since he was a child, the opportunity to work with family and create neighborhoods and homes seemed like a dream come true. He oversees construction in the field, helps design developments, keeps everyone on schedule, and manages the buyer experience—from contract negotiations through the warranty. And, Jeff says, it isn’t all that different from his previous work: Creating a product, managing timetables, selling and delivering the product to customers, and ensuring their happiness.
When not keeping his eye on construction schedules, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and children, attending Royals and Chiefs games, traveling to Florida, hunting, fishing, and perfecting his barbecue skills. He enjoys the fast-paced and ever-changing nature of his work at Rodrock, but more than anything, at the end of the day, he likes knowing he “did something good, helping people move into a home they love.”
Jeff Reglin
CMO
Jeff joined the Rodrock team in 2002, putting into practice what he’d been teaching to students for more than a decade: How to identify what customers want and promote it appropriately. Jeff is in charge of all forms of marketing for Rodrock and revels in the challenge of identifying a consumer need and providing a solution. Every day is different, which Jeff appreciates, offering new opportunities and growth.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys traveling to national parks and sandy coastlines and capturing the beautiful scenery digitally. His three children also love photography, so it’s become a family affair. Jeff considers himself fortunate to work with both his brothers-in-law as well as an extended work family. “It’s not just a job—it’s the chance to work with people who’ve become like family after some 15-plus years.”
